Sarah Thomas, MBACP
Counsellor
A heartfelt welcome
I believe you are the expert of your own experience. My role is to walk alongside you, supporting your self-discovery, personal growth, and a deeper understanding of yourself. I work with people who feel lost in their relationships or disconnected from who they are. As a person-centred counsellor, I focus on creating a safe, confidential space where you can freely explore your thoughts and feelings. Together, we can work on improving communication, expressing your needs, setting boundaries, and developing greater self-acceptance. These steps can help you build healthier relationships and a kinder, more grounded relationship with yourself.

With over five years’ experience in a mental health charity, I’ve supported individuals from many different backgrounds. I’ve met people who struggle to form or maintain fulfilling relationships, often due to past experiences that were outside their control. These patterns can lead to low self-esteem, self-doubt, and a tendency to prioritise others at the expense of their own wellbeing. I understand how exhausting and painful this can be.

As a counsellor, I bring empathy, curiosity, and genuine compassion to help you explore who you are and what you want, whether that’s a sense of purpose, more happiness, or more satisfying relationships with partners, friends, or family.
Alongside talking therapy, I can offer creative approaches using paint, clay, sand, or cards to help you express emotions in ways that feel natural and enriching, especially if traditional conversation feels limiting.

My standard fee for face-to-face or online sessions is £50 for 50 minutes. If you’re curious about working together, I offer a free, no-obligation 20-minute chat via Teams or phone.
