Sandra Hawes,
Counsellor
Welcome
My name is Sandra and my practice is eclectic, calm and welcoming.
My aim is to enable you to reflect and talk freely, safely confronting difficult or traumatic events, navigating uncertainty or major life changes, along with the opportunity to sit in the stillness acknowledging your situation with me alongside you at every step.

Together we move forward at your pace, with compassion, non-judgement and empathy. Our therapeutic relationship is key to our work together, and although therapy is not a magic wand, it can enable change to occur through compassionate acceptance and understanding of ourselves. At the heart of my practice is a person-centred, existential approach. Depending on your needs and preferences, we may integrate creative and nature based elements.
Whatever your reason for choosing to meet with me, whether it be rooted in the past, present or future, we can look at ways of how life may be experienced differently going forward, and hold in mind the future you hope for.
Working with Children and Young People
I offer this therapy service for ages 9 and above. We may incorporate play, creativity alongside a safe space to explore fears, worries and difficult issues, working in a trauma informed way.
